ウクライナへの軍事侵攻に対する声明／Statement Russia's military invasion of Ukraine

ロシアによるウクライナへの軍事侵攻により、多くの女性や子どもたちが犠牲となり、現在も安全や健康、尊厳が脅かされています。
武力による軍事侵攻が長期にわたれば、直接的な攻撃による被害のみならず人々に深刻な影響を及ぼし、様々な暴力の連鎖を引き起こします。
どのような理由があろうとも、戦争や暴力は許されません。
私たち助産師は、女性と子どもの擁護者として、軍事侵攻に強く反対いたします。
一日も早く両国間で停戦が合意され、ウクライナの母子が安心、安全な生活を取り戻すことを強く願います。
ウクライナの戦禍において出産、母子への支援に力を尽くしている私たちの仲間である助産師に心からの敬意を表するとともに、安全が確保されることを願います。

Russia's military invasion of Ukraine has led to many women and children getting killed. It is still threatening their safety, health, and dignity.
A long-term military invasion can have serious consequences for people including direct attacks, causing a chain of violence.
War and violence are unacceptable, whatever be the reason.
As advocates for women and children, three midwifery associations in Japan, condemn Russia's invasion of Ukraine and strongly request military invasion.
We, Japanese midwives, strongly hope that a ceasefire will be agreed upon between the two countries soon and that Ukrainian mothers and children will regain a safe and secure life.
We would like to express our deepest respect to our fellow midwives, who are committed to supporting childbirth and the mothers and children during the war in Ukraine. We hope that they will remain safe.
